All GIS Day 2005 conference guests were hosted to many attractions and events including the 2005 featured attraction, the "National Geographic Cartographic Exhibition". This exhibition featured a collection of one hundred professional high quality maps protraying spectacular, global, regional and topical views of our world as viewed through the eyes of National Geographic Cartographers. All guests were also treated to a wonderful keynote presentation by National Geographic Chief Cartographer, Allan Carrol who brought this year's audiance on a tour of ninety years of map making at the National Geographic Society and while also showing what new and exciting plans the society has for the future

Another attraction at GIS Day 2005 included a Modern Cartographic Exhibition which featured up to one hundred maps and posters from presenters from all around the state. Invited presenters included professionals from many sectors of the Geo-Spatial Science community including urban planning, resource management, emergency management, education, science, government, and industry. GIS Day guests were also hosted to a Geo-Spatial Science College Fair which featured representatives from many regional Geo-Spatial Science undergraduate, graduate degree and certificate programs. Morning student guests were also be treated to a series of talks about the Geo-Spatial Sciences and the educational and career opportunities that they have to offer. Afternoon guests were also be hosted to a professional hardware, software and geographic products Vendor Hall and product demonstrations from leading companies and organizations in the Geo-Science industry.
